Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza says the senior players currently in camp need to be commended in the manner they have welcomed the new comers to the Chipolopolo family. He says the new and younger players have felt so much at home that it is literally difficulty to know who is new and who is not not new.
“The senior players have exhibited leadership and have accommodated the junior members of the family so well that the result is great unity of purpose which we so much need for theSaturday assignment against Mozambique” said the 2012 Africa cup winning assistant coach.
Meanwhile Janza says the morale in the camp is very high and each and every player is looking forward to a great game on Saturday against Mozambique “We are very happy that so far the training has been going on very well and as I speak to you I am happy that we have no injuries apart from a few knocks here and there” he added.
Janza has included three Under Twenty players in the squad that is preparing for Mozambique. Larry Bwalya, Kayawe Kapota and Patrick Ngoma are the rookies in the team.
This afternoon the National team had a training match with Zesco United whom they beat by two goals to one. Emmanuel Mayuka and Christopher Katongo scored for the Chipolopolo.
This weekend, Zambia begins her search for a place at the 2015 Africa cup of Nations finals with an encounter against Mozambique to be played at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa stadium. Cape Verdi and Niger are the other opponents for Zambia.
On Sunday Chipolopolo played a friendly with Sudan whom they humbled to a tune of three goals to one.
Coach Honour Janza has assembled a 28 man squad which has set up camp in Ndola.
And Football Association of Zambia spokesman, Nkweto Tembwe has told fazfootball.com that ticket sales for the Saturday match will commence on Thursday at most post offices in Lusaka and the copperbelt.
Charges are,VIP- K500,West lower K 150,West upper K 100,East upper. K 50,East lower. K 50,North and South all round K20
Tembwe has however emphasised that VIP tickets will only be sold from Football House in Lusaka.
