The Department of Immigration at Katima-Mulilo Border Control has received 15 Zambians who were repatriated from Namibia for the offence of unlawful entry.

Department of Immigration Public Relations Officer Namati Nshinka says the group was received on Saturday, 17th August, 2019 following an operation carried out to rid that country of illegal immigrants.

Mr. Nshinka has told Christian voice news that this is the third group to be repatriated in a space of six days, with a group of 23 and 63 others having been removed on 13th and 14th August, 2019, respectively, bringing the total number to 101.

He also disclosed that the Department of Immigration between 14th and 18th August, 2019 apprehended 54 persons for various immigration offences countrywide.

Mr. Nshinka has advised Zambians intending to travel out of the country for any purpose to ensure that they are in possession of the prerequisite travel documents and immigration permits to enable them stay in those countries legally.
