Kabompo District Commissioner Hubert Chinyanga has expressed sadness at the death of a 41-year-old woman who was attacked and partly eaten by a crocodile in Kabompo river over the weekend.

Mr. Chinyanga has since appealed to the department of National Parks and Wildlife to visit the district and crop the crocodiles which he said have since increased in numbers.

The deceased, identified as Sandra Kalukangu is alleged to have been attacked around 18:30 hours on Saturday and a search was instituted but her body which was partially eaten, was only retrieved from the river at 08:30 hours yesterday, 9th January 2022.
