The Zambia National Marketeers Credit Association ZANAMACA has appealed to government through the ministry of health to consider extending covid19 testing to marketers, traders, small scale farmers and bus stations.

Zanamaca President and founder Mupila Kameya says extending testing for covid19 to the informal sector will help government to increase the pace of testing to at least 2,000 per day before it’s too late to contain the virus.

Speaking in an interview with Christian voice news in Lusaka today, Mr. Kameya said that the initiative will solely help government to expedite the process of protecting communities against Covid19.

And Mr. Kameya has also appealed to government to engage local skilled tailors in the sewing of quality and washable face masks to adequately carter for marketers and other informal sector operates.
