Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Dora Siliya has challenged film makers in the country to be innovative and create content that will attract investments from the co-operate world.

Ms. Siliya says the film making industry has been over the years dormant adding that there is need to revamp the industry and create employment for the youth.

Speaking when she held a meeting with Zambian Filmmakers in Lusaka today, Ms. Siliya said that government has already created an enabling environment for the film industry to thrive, calling on film makers to take advantage of the good space.

And Ms. Siliya has disclosed that the 30-million-kwacha artist empowerment Fund will be disbursed by the Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission CEEC as soon as all modalities are put in place.

She has therefore urged the film making industry to take advantage of the fund and improve on their work.
