Government has set aside k50 Million to empower the Church, Religious and Faith Based organizations aimed at assisting them revamp and run charity programs that have been affected by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Minister of National Guidance and Religious Affairs Godfridah Sumaili says the funds will also help establish a revolving fund for members of Church, Religious and Faith Based organizations adding that beneficiaries should ensure success of the scheme to empower more members.

Speaking during the launch of the empowerment scheme for the Church, Religious and Faith Based organizations in Lusaka today, Rev. Sumaili emphasized that the success of the scheme will serve as a model for other empowerment schemes that government plans to implement in future.

She added that the church should ensure the revolving fund is sustainable and accessible to all members including those in the rural areas.

He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
