Opposition Zambians United for Sustainable Development is calling on government consider allocating more funding to Agriculture Research Centres in the 2023 national budget.

Party President Lazarus Chisela  has told Radio Christian Voice news that Zambians are capable of feeding themselves and earning an income if Government can concentrate on funding research centres such as Mount Makulu in the 2023 budget.

Mr. Chisela said that the previous budget for 2022,  did not address challenges facing the agriculture sector especially research centres.

He adds that his party is also calling on the new dawn administration to recruit agriculture extension officers next year using the national budget.
