The government has condemned sections of society that are praising opposition Members of Parliament MPs who protested against government’s reluctance to release the draft constitution. Justice minister Wynter Kabimba says the constitution-making process is not the duty of the speaker of the national assembly at the current stage. Mr Kabimba who is also Patriotic Front PF secretary general was speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka Wednesday. He said government is saddened by those praising the MPs for their action. Mr Kabimba also charged that the opposition MPs should take responsibility for delaying the constitution-making process further by their action in parliament. He said that some progress on the process would have been made had it not been for the MPs’ conduct.
