Lusaka province minister Bowman Lusambo has given a three-day ultimatum to millers to flood the market with mealie meal.

Mr Lusambo says the directive will help combat the artificial shortage of the commodity being caused by unscrupulous traders who are hiring youths to buy the commodity in bulk.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today, Mr Lusambo has further stated that unscrupulous traders are taking advantage of the situation and exploiting the mealie meal prices and selling the commodity at a higher price.

And Mr Lusambo has further advised the milling companies to ensure that they indicate the retail prices as well as not allow the resale of the commodity at a higher price.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
