The National Union of Public and Private Educators of Zambia NUPPEZ has appealed to the ministry of Health in collaboration with the ministry of general Education to start mass testing of Covid19 in schools.

NUPPEZ General Secretary Nelson Mwale says the rising number of covid19 deaths and infections is worrying adding that there is need to ensure that schools are safe for learners and teachers.

Speaking in an interview with Christian Voice news in Lusaka today, Mr. Mwale said that the earlier the mass testing is conducted the better and safer for learners.

And Mr. Mwale has also called on government to reinforce personnel protective equipment in schools to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.
