The Non-Governmental Gender Organizations’ Coordinating Council NGOCC is saddened by the increased incidences of killings related to misunderstandings in relationships.

NGOCC Executive Director Engwase Mwale has told Christian Voice News in Lusaka today that families and communities must take seriously, aspects of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, especially those that happen between partners.

Ms. Mwale notes that the recent killing of a 21-year-old Mapalo Masiku, a student at Chitambo Nursing School, comes barely a few months after the killing of Dr. Tasila Tembo, in almost similar circumstances.

She said the two incidences and more, go further to show just how the societal values of love, appreciation, accountability for one’s actions, respect for life, among others have been eroded.

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
