A 25-year-old Police officer identified as Constable Fanwell Nyundu has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder, involving the shooting to death of Nsama Nsama a Prosecutor of National Prosecutions Authority and a UPND supporter Joseph Kaunda, on 23rd December 2020.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed the development to Christian Voice News in Lusaka today.

Ms. Katongo said the suspect is in police custody and yet to appear in Court.

On December 23rd 2020, between 10 and 13hrs, Nsama Nsama and Joseph Kaunda were shot dead in a fracas when Police tried to disperse a crowd that had gathered near the Ministry of Justice to offer solidarity to UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema, who was being questioned by the Police.
