President Edgar Lungu has extended restrictions on movements for another two weeks to ensure the Coronavirus is fully contained in the country.

The restrictions which include the closure of Bars, Casinos and Gyms among others are aimed to mitigate the spread of Covid19 in Zambia.

President Lungu has appealed to Zambians to observe the measures to avoid the resurgence of the coronavirus which has negatively affected the rest of the world.

Speaking when he addressed the Nation in Lusaka today, President Lungu also disclosed that 17 more patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours from the isolations wards in Lusaka.

Mr. Lungu also said that Zambia has recorded 0 new cases of Covid19 out of the 82 tests done in the last 24hours.

And President Lungu has directed controlling officers in line ministries to ensure that all donations made towards to the covid19 are incorporated under the ministry of health to supplement their budget on the pandemic.

Mr. Lungu has also tasked the Auditor general’s office to account for all resources spent for the coronavirus pandemic.
