The Private Sector Development Association says the reclassification of Zambia to a low income country is a step in the wrong direction.

Association Chairman Yusuf Dodia says this is a wake up for the nation that is already highly indebted.

Speaking when he featured on Radio Christian Voice Program Chat Back in Lusaka today, Mr. Dodia says the reclassification of Zambia into a low income Nation can be attributed to the low production in the economy that has reduced the income of an average Zambian to roughly K1,3000 per month.

Mr. Dodia Said that the nation should get back to the drawing board and put in place economic policies that will boss the economy.
