Sserunkuma-Cranes want win, not revenge

Cranes striker Dan Sserunkuma says a win and not revenge over Zambia is their objective in tonight’s away friendly in Ndola.

Zambia broke The Cranes hearts on October 13, 2012 beating the latter 9-8 on post-match penalties after a 1-1 aggregate score-line to book their place to the 2013 Africa Cup finals.

“We have just come to win because it is an international game and then we know that we are playing a good side we are very ready for that but we have just come for a win,” the Gor Mahia striker told MTNFootball.com in Ndola.

“We are not here for a revenge we are just here for a win.”

The meeting will be the first time since that heart-breaking day in the final round, final leg match in Kampala for The Cranes that the two sides will clash.

“It will be a tough game because even Zambia is a good team but we shall work hard so that we do our best to make our people in our country happy,” Sserunkuma said.
