Zambia defender Stopilla Sunzu on Saturday scored his third Ligue 1 goal after inspiring Sochaux to a 2-0 home win over Lorient.
The 24-year-old defender fired in Sochaux’s second goal 78th minute on the rebound after his counterpart Sebastien Corchia’s initial shot was parried by Fabien Audard.
Sunzu’s goal came in his first game back after missing last Saturday trip to Monaco together with his compatriot’s midfielder Nathan Sinkala and striker Emmanuel Mayuka.
This is after a flight connection problem from Zambia after Chipolopolo’s friendly against The Uganda Cranes on March 5 that the former won 2-1.
Sochaux lost 2-1 in the trio’s absence.
And Sunzu played the full 90 minutes against Lorient alongside his compatriot and Sinkala while Mayuka was on the bench.
