President Hakainde Hichilema says the fight against corruption has just started gaining momentum and he has advised those in leadership to distinguish between the Private and the Public resources.

Speaking at State House today, during a swearing in ceremony of newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, President Hichilema said his government has finished establishing the operations of government, which it has been undertaking in the past one year.

The President encouraged the Permanent Secretaries to work closely with the controlling officers and ensure that only the right people are on the government payroll.

And President Hichilema directed the New Ministry of Mines PS to sort out corruption around the mines, further saying the issues around illegal mining must be stopped.

The president said mining licenses must be given to Zambians to effectively achieve the agenda of economic growth and job creation.

The Permanent Secretaries sworn-in are Mooya Lukamba as Mines PS, Jonas Mulongoti as PS at the Ministry of Commerce and Himba Cheelo as PS for the Ministry of Energy.
